Digital Future Society’s new data ethics for the digital age

While data can be a force for good that unlocks new knowledge, the complexity of the shifting digital ethics landscape can result in declining trust and trustworthiness. When it comes to digital privacy, we need to think far beyond traditional notions of security and consent to consider how data collection and use impacts our autonomy, power and individual agency.
