AT&T has incorporated traditional ways of closing the digital literacy gap as part of their overall workforce strategy. In 2014, they sponsored a low-cost online master’s degree in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology’s school of computing. This award-winning initiative offers a variety of courses to retrain its employees who work in jobs that will become obsolete, such as landline installation and repair.
